Mary González
Mary González is a Democrat running for re-election to the Texas House of Representatives in the 75th District.
González was first elected to the Texas State House in 2012 and represents El Paso County. She is the Vice Chair of the Appropriations Committee, Chair of the LGBTQ Caucus, and Vice Chair of the Hispanic Caucus. Outside of politics she is an educator and nonprofit leader.
She is focused on crafting a state budget that serves the needs of the residents of El Paso County, including by increasing spending on education, healthcare, and water. She is also focused on protecting neighborhood schools and promoting social justice. She has the support of many labor unions, Democratic groups, and political organizations.
