You with us next year?

Posted on: December 10th, 2012 by teamlpac

Are you in for 2013? This year was huge not just for LPAC, but for politics across the country. But just because we’ve chosen a President (a pro-LPAC President!), and elected officials and decided ballot issues aross the country (a dozen LPAC winners!), doesn’t mean we’re done. Politics do not come to a halt in the “off years,” and neither will our work with you. Every single day, politicians and laws adversely affect lesbians, our families, and our friends. It’s up to LPAC to make change.

That’s why we want to make sure we have your support for 2013. Can you sign the pledge now?

Our savvy, strategic political team is already looking at potential races that need LPAC’s support next November. Houston, Texas, Mayor Annise Parker made headlines when she became the city’s second female mayor and the first openly lesbian major of a major US city. She’s up for re-election next year.

Over in New York City, the mayoral race’s unofficial frontrunner is openly lesbian City Council Speaker Christine Quinn. Leader of the biggest city in the US– this will be a hotly contested race.

Those are just two of the potential opportunities we’re looking into. But bottom line, we know that with your help, we’ve built an amazing track record of wins, and we’re just getting started. Sign the pledge to be a part of LPAC in 2013.

It’s up to us, we are LPAC!

Chair, LPAC
