LPAC’s Response to Ferguson

The decision not to indict a white officer in the killing of an unarmed black teenager is disturbing because of widespread anti-black police practices and the documented bias found in America’s criminal justice system. The evidence from recent years is clear – young black men and women are profoundly vulnerable, including from those charged with protecting them.

A key tenet of LPAC is to advance social, economic and racial justice for all Americans, especially women, LGBT people and communities of color, and to stand against those forces that would prevent that justice. LPAC will continue to work to elect candidates who are committed to insuring that our political and legal system will protect the rights and lives of everyone, including those who are most vulnerable in out society.
