LPAC Statement on Hillary Clinton’s LGBT Plan

Posted on: December 18th, 2015 by teamlpac

Nation’s only lesbian PAC praises Hillary Clinton’s profound commitment to LGBT Americans.

December 18, 2015 — LPAC, the country’s first and only lesbian political action committee, today commented on Hillary Clinton’s LGBT Policy Plan, released yesterday:

“LPAC celebrates Secretary Clinton’s strong LGBT Policy Plan, of critical importance as we face an election that will have a vital and lasting impact on the future of America – perhaps like no election we have seen before with the rights we have worked so hard to achieve facing constant threat and erosion; and, with so much left to do. The Clinton Plan incorporates our recent victories with our shared vision of expanding protections and rights for all in our community – the young, the elderly, the HIV+, and our transgender family,” said Executive Director Beth Shipp.

“As the first national LGBTQ political action committee to endorse Secretary Clinton, we at LPAC believe that Hillary Clinton is the candidate who will fight for lesbian and queer women and our families every day as President. It is her commitment to and support of the issues that LPAC was founded to address — LGBTQ rights, women’s equality and social justice — that inspired us to endorse her candidacy and makes us proud to stand by Hillary Clinton’s side. And, we remain steadfast in our support and look forward to the day we call her Madam President.”
