LPAC ENDORSES ONE MORE CANDIDATE IN ADVANCE OF NOVEMBER ELECTIONS

Washington, DC (September 27, 2018) — LPAC, the only organization devoted to building the political power of LGBTQ women, today announces its endorsement of another candidate in the run up to the November elections. This latest endorsement – for local office in New Jersey – represents another move in LPAC’s efforts to elevate our values of LGBTQ and women’s rights, and social justice, at all levels of elected office.

“The elections are fewer than 50 days away,” said LPAC executive director Stephanie Sandberg. “While attention will be focused on federal and state-wide office, it’s equally important that we elect candidates who champion our values at the local level. Julia will be an outstanding public servant, and we are excited to support her.”

Julia Fahl for Mayor of Lambertville, New Jersey

Fahl, a fundraiser, shook up the local establishment when she defeated a 27-year incumbent in Lambertville’s June mayoral primary. Fahl, who is openly LGBTQ, is running a campaign focused on issues that closely impact the residents of Lambertville, including city-to-citizen communications, professionalization of public boards and commissions, and city beautification. LPAC is proud to add her to our roster of endorsed candidates.
