Ambureen Rana

Ambureen Rana is a Democrat running for re-election to the Maine House of Representatives.

Ambureen Rana is a community organizer and advocate who has spent her career working to support people in most need; addressing substance use disorder, housing instability, and healthcare access. Rana began her advocacy in 2015 where she worked with LGBTQ+ youth to help them foster safer schools.

In her legislative career, Rana has secured funding for low-income housing supports and increased funds going to low-barrier homeless shelters. She also sponsored a bill that resulted in more accurate and affirming care to be provided in medical settings for LGBTQ+ patients.
