State Rep. Ann Johnson is running for re-election to the Texas House of Representatives.

Johnson flipped this seat in 2020 and LPAC endorsed her in that race. The district had previously been in Republican hands since 2011.

Johnson is a former assistant Harris County District Attorney who now works in private practice. She created the District Attorney Office’s Human Trafficking section. She previously ran for this seat in 2012.

Her platform focuses on women’s health and reproductive rights, Medicaid expansion, gun safety, climate change, and voting rights .
