Becca Balint

 

 

Becca Balint made history in 2022 as the first women ever elected to represent Vermont in Congress. She is running for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2024.

Balint was first elected to the Vermont State Senate in 2014 and became the leader of the chamber as President Pro Tem in 2021. She had previously served as the Majority Leader.

Her focus in Congress is advocating for mental health access, promoting affordable housing, and common sense gun safety legislation. She is also working to advance voting rights, LGBTQ equality, protecting trans community, and promote access to abortion. She serves on the House Oversight and Budget Committees.
