Caroline Menjivar
Caroline Menjivar is a Democratic running for election to the California State Senate in the 20th District.
Menjivar has not previously run for elected office. She is the child of Salvadorian immigrants and a former member of the Marine Corps. More recently she worked for the Los Angeles City Council and Office of the Mayor. She serves on the Board of the LGBTQ education nonprofit GLSEN Los Angeles.
Her priority issues are mental health, housing and homelessness, and climate action. Menjivar’s campaign has been endorsed by NARAL, Vote Vets, the California Democratic Legislative Women’s Caucus, and the Stonewall Democratic Club.
