Dana Schallheim

Dana Schallheim is running for re-election to the Anne Arundel County Board of Education in Maryland.

Schallheim was first elected for a six-year term in 2018, unseating an appointed incumbent with 51.8 percent of the vote, and is now running for a four-year term.

During her first term, Schallheim championed the most far-reaching LGTBQIA+ inclusion policy of any school system in the state of Maryland. This policy codified existing guidelines and covers topics from pronoun use, to preferred name, to student records, and facilities use.
