Gerri Cannon

Gerri Cannon is a Democrat running for re-election to the New Hampshire House of Representatives.

Cannon was first elected in 2018 and was re-elected in 2020. She is one of only eight openly trans state legislators in the United States. Cannon is also a member of the Somersworth School Board, first elected in 2017 and re-elected in 2019 and 2021.

Cannon’s priorities are protecting LGBTQ rights and updating New Hampshire to allow for birth certificate changes for trans and non-binary people, ensuring public schools are adequately funded and improving access to healthcare and human services.
