Kristen Browde
Kristen Browde is a Democrat running for election to the New York State Assembly’s 93rd District. If elected, she’d be the state’s first trans legislator.
Browde is an attorney who previously had a 40-year career as a television broadcast reporter and anchor in New York. She has served on many public boards and commissions, and in 2017 she ran a race for town supervisor in New Castle, NY, losing to an incumbent by about 300 votes.
Her platform focuses on common-sense gun control, promoting equality and expanding access to surrogacy, and alleviating problems caused by the Trump tax cuts.
