Lakeesha Atkinson is running for re-election to the Portsmouth School Board in Virginia.

Lakeesha Atkinson was born and raised in Portsmouth, Virginia and graduated from Norfolk State University. With a passion for giving back to her community, in 2013, Atkinson founded an organization with a mission of advocacy, education, and spreading awareness about societal issues.

Atkinson was first elected to the Portsmouth School Board in 2016.
