Lea Krauss
Lea Krauss ran for Broward County Circuit Court Judge in 2016, losing in the general election. She is a criminal defense attorney in private practice.
Krauss got her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and then completed the University of Miami Law School program in two and half years. She spent three years at Florida’s state prosecutor's office, where she worked her way up to become a lead prosecutor in the felony office before leaving to start her private practice.
Krauss, who identifies as LGBTQ, is one of the founders of the Gay & Lesbian Lawyers Network and served as its president for five years. In addition to her criminal practice, she practices family law and is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator.
