Mariah Moore

Mariah Moore is running for the New Orleans City Council (District D). She will be the only out LGBTQ woman to hold elected office in Louisiana.

Moore is a longtime community organizer and currently serves as a national organizer with the Transgender Law Center. She is also the co-founder and co-director of the House of Tulip, a nonprofit that provides housing to transgender and gender nonconforming people.

Moore’s priorities are affordable housing, improved infrastructure, and greater economic opportunity for New Orleanians in District D.
