Maya Morales

Maya Morales is a Democrat running for the Whatcom County Charter Commission in Washington.

Maya Morales has over 25 years of diverse work and volunteer experience, from educating youth to advocating for women's employment rights to fighting to protect access to abortion and gender-affirming care. In 2022, they founded WA People's Privacy, helping to defeat a bad data privacy bill written by and for big tech. Most recently, Morales has been drafting a WA Unhoused Persons Bill of Rights.

If elected, Morales would be the first lesbian elected in the county.
