Renee Richer

 

 

Renee Richer is a Democrat running for election to the Michigan House of Representatives’s 108th district.

Richer is a professor of biology at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in Marinette, holding a PhD in biology from Harvard University. She also runs her family farm and a bed and breakfast. Her family has lived in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for five generations.

Richer is running a campaign centered around expanding access to affordable healthcare in rural areas, especially for mental health and substance abuse treatment, education reform, and LGBTQ nondiscrimination.
