Rue Landau

Rue Landau is running for election to the Philadelphia City Council in an at-large seat. Rue would be the first openly LGBTQ woman elected to the Council.

Landau is currently an elected Democratic Committeeperson in Philadelphia’s Second Ward. She is an attorney and previously served for 12 years as the director of both the Fair Housing Commission and Consumer Relations Commission. Earlier in her career she worked for Philadelphia Community Legal Services.

Her priorities are finding community solutions to gun violence, increasing investments in neighborhoods, and improving affordable housing opportunities. She has been endorsed by the Philadelphia Democratic Party.
