Sarah Tyree

Sarah Tyree is a Democrat running for a seat in the Arizona State Senate in District 5.

Tyree is a social worker and also an eight-year veteran of the U.S. Army. She would be the only LGBTQ woman serving in the Arizona Senate. She previously ran for a different seat in. the Senate in a much more conservative district, she is now challenging a Democratic incumbent in the primary.

Tyree is focused on expanding access to mental health services, protecting minority rights, and providing support for formerly incarcerated people. She has also been endorsed by National Organization for Women Arizona.
