Terra Lawson-Remer

Terra Lawson-Remer is running for a second term on the San Diego County Board of Supervisors in California.

Lawson-Remer is an economist, attorney, grassroots organizer, and educator. A third-generation San Diegan, she previously served as Senior Advisor in the Obama Administration. Lawson-Remer was first elected in 2020, unseating an incumbent with 58 percent of the vote.

Lawson-Remer is being challenged by Republican Kevin Faulconer, former Mayor of San Diego. He left his position as Mayor in 2021 to run for Governor during the special election to recall Governor Gavin Newsom.
