Vance Ahrens

Vance Ahrens is a Democrat running for the Florida State Senate, District 19.

Vance Ahrens, a native Floridian, is seeking election to the State Senate in District 19. Following high school, she served as a Hospital Corpsman and Surgical Technologist in the Navy. In 1996, she relocated to Brevard County, where she established a family. She is a parent to four adult children and a grandparent to two grandchildren.

She firmly believes in the importance of environmental protection for future generations, ensuring accessible and quality healthcare determined by individuals and their healthcare providers without excessive government intervention. She advocates for an education system that broadens children's knowledge and supports common-sense gun laws as a means of protecting children.

Above all, she emphasizes that the role of a State Senator is to actively listen to and work on behalf of constituents, prioritizing their well-being and interests rather than imposing restrictions on their freedoms. When she is elected she will be Florida's first openly transgender state legislator.
