LPAC announces May 2021 endorsements

Washington D.C. (May 18, 2021) –  LPAC, the only organization dedicated to electing LGBTQ women to local, state, and federal office, today announces May 2021 endorsements. See our full list of current endorsees here.

The endorsed candidates are:

  • Janani Ramachandran (CA State Assembly)

  • Mariah Moore (New Orleans City Council)

  • Ashley Shade (North Adams, MA City Council)

All of these candidates would make history upon their elections. Ramachandran will be the first LGBTQ Asian American woman elected to the California Legislature, Moore will be the only LGBTQ woman to hold elected office in Louisiana, and Shade will be the first trans woman to serve in North Adams.

"Representation matters," said Lisa Turner, LPAC’s Executive Director. "LPAC is proud to make these three endorsements -- and all of these women will provide new, and needed, LGBTQ representation for their communities."
