LPAC Endorses Congressional Candidate Aisha Mills for NY-18

Washington D.C. (July 15, 2022) – LPAC, the national political organization dedicated to electing more LGBTQ women to public office, is proud to announce our endorsement for Congressional candidate Aisha Mills, running in New York’s 18th district.

“We are excited to endorse Aisha and look forward to supporting her groundbreaking campaign for Congress,” says Lisa Turner, Executive Director at LPAC. “Aisha would be the first openly LGBTQ, Black woman elected to Congress. We are proud to be one of the very first organizations to support her historic campaign.”

Aisha is a political strategist and commentator. She previously served as the President of the LGBTQ Victory Fund, the Executive Director of the Congressional Black Caucus PAC, and worked with the Center for American Progress.

The primary election is on August 23, 2022, with early voting beginning on August 13, 2022.
