LPAC's July 2023 Endorsements
Washington D.C. (July 18, 2023) – LPAC, the only organization dedicated to electing LGBTQ women to local, state, and federal office is thrilled to announce our endorsement of five excellent candidates.
These LGBTQ women are dedicated public servants and exemplify some of what is best about our community. You can find out more about each candidate below.
Sarah McBride, U.S. House of Representative (DE-AL)
State Sen. Sarah McBride can make history as the first openly transgender person ever elected to Congress! First elected to the State Senate in 2020, Sarah has been a champion for working families in Delaware and will be a powerful voice in the U.S. House.
Jamie McLeod-Skinner, U.S. House of Representatives (OR-5)
LPAC was proud to endorse Jamie McLeod-Skinner when she ran one of the most competitive Congressional campaigns in the country in 2022, and we are thrilled to support her as she runs again in 2024. This is a prime opportunity to flip a Republican-held seat, and Jamie is the candidate to do it!
Navarra Carr, Port Angeles City Council (WA)
Navarra Carr was first elected to the Port Angeles City Council in 2019, winning by single digits! She has made a name for herself on the Council and is now seeking a second term.
Brenda Gadd, Metro Nashville Council (TN)
Brenda Gadd has a long history as a community leader in Nashville. She is unopposed in this election and will be a great role model for LGBTQ women when she takes office next year.
Jaclyn Torres Roth, Medford City Council (MA)
Jaclyn Torres Roth is seeking one of seven at-large seat on the Medford City Council in Massachusetts. Medford is part of the Boston Metro Area and Torres Roth will be an important advocate for LGBTQ people, young people, and women on the Council.
