LPAC Announces May 2023 Endorsement Slate
Washington D.C. (May 15, 2023) – LPAC, the only organization dedicated to electing LGBTQ women to local, state, and federal office is excited to announce our latest slate of 7 endorsees for May 2023.
This group of LGBTQ women includes individuals seeking state legislative and local office and both seasoned incumbents and first-time candidates. We are thrilled to lend them our support. Read on to find out more about each endorsee.
Lori Schreiber, Montgomery County Clerk of Courts (PA)
Lori Schreiber is running for a second term as the Montgomery County Clerk of Courts in Pennsylvania. Montgomery County is Pennsylvania's 3rd-most populous. Lori was first elected in 2019; she has also served on the Abington Township Council since 2005.
Katrina Doughty, Multnomah Education Service District School Board (OR)
Katrina Doughty is seeking a second term on of Oregon's largest Education Service District School Board. She also serves as an executive member of the the statewide school board association.
Diane Salvatore, New Jersey General Assembly
Diane Salvatore is an award-winning journalist and editor. She would be one of the first openly LGBTQ women ever elected to the New Jersey State Legislature!
Marsha Silverman, Glen Cove City Council (NY)
Marsha Silverman was first elected to the Glen Cove City Council in 2017 and is seeking a fourth two-year term. She is a longtime community advocate.
Kris Haines-Sharp, Ithaca Common Council (NY)
Kris Haines-Sharp is seeking a full term on the Ithaca Common Council in New York after being appointed to a seat earlier this year. She is a former educator and school administrator.
Jessica Rothchild, Scranton City Council (PA)
When she was elected in 2019, Jessica Rothchild became the first openly LGBTQ woman to serve on the Scranton City Council in Pennsylvania. She is seeking a second term.
