Daneya Esgar

Daneya Esgar is a Democrat running for a seat on the Pueblo County Commission.

Daneya Esgar previously served four terms in the Colorado State House, where she served as House Majority Leader and passed bills ensuring access to abortion in Colorado and protecting the rights of LGBTQ Coloradoans. After being term limited in the legislature, she was appointed to the Pueblo County Commission on June 1, 2023.

Commissioner Esgar lives with her wife Heather, their daughter Marlo, and their two dogs, Bella and Huck, in Pueblo.
