Monica Martinez

Monica Martinez is running for the Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors in California.

Martinez currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Santa Cruz County’s largest health and human services nonprofit, dedicated to providing behavioral health, housing, and early childhood development support to the community. She previously worked with women experiencing homelessness on Los Angeles’ Skid Row. Martinez is also a foster parent and Ironman triathlete.

Martinez is focused on natural disaster recovery, resiliency, and representation. If elected, she would be the first out LGBTQ supervisor elected in Santa Cruz County.
