Deirdre Hisler is a Democrat running for Presidio County Commission in Texas.

Presidio County is a county of 6,100 residents located in the far southwest corner of Texas, bordering Mexico, and includes the well-known arts town of Marfa.

Hisler worked in parks and wildlife for 28 years. She moved to Marfa in 2014 to become the West Texas Program Director of the Texas Chapter of The Nature Conservancy before officially retiring in 2019. During her tenure as a State Parks employee Deirdre organized and implemented river clean up activities, held Board of Director positions and served as the Chairwoman for the City of San Antonio’s Conservation Advisory Board.
