Donte Tanner

Donte Tanner lost his 2017 race for Virginia House of Delegates by less than 100 votes.

A husband, father, Air Force veteran, and small business owner in Northern Virginia, Tanner grew up in a family dedicated to public service. His dad served in the Navy and later in the police force alongside Tanner’s mom. His parents’ dedication to serving their country and community inspired their son to do the same.

He was accepted into the United States Air Force Academy in 1997, where he rose through the ranks and became an Air Force Captain at the age of 25, serving for four years, leading a team working on Space and Missile systems.

Tanner currently serves on the Sully District Planning Commission in Fairfax County.
