Gwen Wright

Gwen Wright is a Democrat running to be the County Executive of Rensselaer County, NY.

Rensselaer County is located east of Albany and home to over 150,000 people. Wright would be the first openly LGBTQ person to lead the county.

Prior to running for office Wright retired from the State of New York as the Executive Director of the New York State Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence. She also served as the Executive Director of the nonprofit New York State Coalition Against Domestic Violence. She is a longtime community leader in Rensselaer County.

Her priorities should she be elected are restoring integrity in the office of County Executive, building community and fostering innovation.
