Heather Waters

Heather Waters is running for re-election to the Manlius Town Board in New York state.

Waters was the top vote getter when she was first elected in 2019, winning her seat by a 300 vote- margin. On Council, she chairs the Police Committee, and serves as Co-chair of the Comprehensive Plan Committee, and Tree Commission. She also ran for county legislator in 2021, losing by only 124 votes. Outside of elected office, she is a fundraiser and trained mediator.

Waters’ focus on council has been to improve communications with residents, to be a role model for young LGBTQ people, and to create a Climate Action Plan. Waters and her two Democratic running mates will face Republican opponents aligned with Moms for Liberty.
