Jennifer Cruz
Jennifer Cruz is running for Fresno County Board of Supervisors in California.
Cruz is the manager of Fresno's only LGBTQ Resource Center. Since 2019, she has worked to build the center, which now has six full-time paid staff, various peer support groups, gender-affirming mental health services, HIV and STI testing on site, free gender-affirming clothing closet, and housing navigation assistance. She decided to run when her high school alma mater put forward the worst book ban in California.
Cruz is challenging incumbent Supervisor Nathan Magsig, a vocal anti-LGBTQ and anti-choice Republican who was first elected in 2016.
