Lynn Blasey

Lynn Blasey is running for an at-large seat on the Hamtramck City Council in Michigan.

Blasey has lived in Hamtramck for over a decade and works at the College for Creative Studies in the Community Arts Partnerships department as a Program Manager. She previously worked as an educator at the Arab American National Museum and as an AmeriCorps volunteer.

Blasey is focused on infrastructure, community safety, and transparency. Hamtramck is an enclave of Detroit and, with a population of 28,000, is the most densely populated municipality in Michigan. Earlier this year, the council unanimously passed a resolution banning LGBTQ+, political and religious flags on government property.
