Mary Moriarty

Mary Moriarty is a Democratic-Farmer-Labor candidate running to be Hennepin County Attorney in Minnesota.

Mary has spent almost her entire career as a public defender, and served as the Hennepin County Chief Public Defender from 2014-2020. She was also a legal commentator on MSNBC and the BBC during the Derek Chauvin murder trial.

Hennepin County is Minnesota’s largest, with a population in excess of one million. Its county seat is Minneapolis.

Mary’s priorities are public safety, police accountability, and addressing racial disparities in the criminal justice system. She has earned the DFL party endorsement.
