Laura Parmer-Lohan
Laura Parmer-Lohan is running for the open District 3 seat on the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors in California.
The five-member Board of Supervisors in San Mateo County represents almost 800,000 people at the heat of the Silicon Valley. Parmer-Lohan would be the only LGBTQ woman on the Board.
Parmer-Lohan current serves on the San Carlos City Council and has served as the Mayor of San Carlos. She was first elected in 2017. She serves on several volunteer and community boards, and outside of public service owns a small business and is an executive with a large employer in the county.
Her campaign is prioritizing affordable housing and affordable childcare, addressing and reversing the impacts of climate change, and ensuring diverse communities have equal representation and equitable access to resources. She has been endorsed by SEIU, Victory Fund, and several labor unions and elected officials.
