Satana Deberry

Satana Deberry is a Democrat running for North Carolina Attorney General.

Deberry has served two terms as District Attorney in Durham County, North Carolina, the most Democratic county in the state. As District Attorney, she has implemented policies to reduce unnecessary pretrial incarceration and worked to improve trust and equity in the courts.

Previously, Deberry served as a criminal defense attorney, General Counsel for the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, and executive director of a housing nonprofit.
