Stephanie Murphy has represented Florida’s 7th District in Congress since 2017, and she is running for her third term in the 2020 election.

Prior to her election to the House, Murphy served as a national security specialist at the Department of Defense from 2004 through 2008, where she worked on a wide range of security issues, from counterterrorism to foreign military relations to strategic planning for the department. . She has also worked as a business consultant and as a professor.

Rep. Murphy serves on the House’s Ways and Means Committee.
