V Fixmer-Oraiz

V Fixmer-Oraiz is a Democrat running for election to the Johnson County Board of Supervisors in Iowa.

Johnson County is the home of the University of Iowa and the fourth-largest in the state.

V would be the first trans and nonbinary person elected as a County Supervisor in Iowa. They have not previously run for elected office, but have served the public on the Iowa city Housing and Community Development Commission and Johnson County Affordable Housing Commission. Outside of politics they are an environmental community planner.

V’s priorities are inclusive economic development, affordable housing, and resilience and recovery.
