LPAC announces two new board members: Rebecca Buckwalter-Poza & Nikki Barua
Washington, DC (May 11, 2020) – LPAC joyfully welcomes two new board members to our ranks: Rebecca Buckwalter-Poza, Senior Strategist at The Justice Collaborative, and Nikki Barua, founder and CEO of Beyond Barriers. The only political organization dedicated to building political strength and representation for and with LGBTQ women, LPAC’s board and staff look forward to harnessing Buckwalter-Poza and Barua’s enthusiasm and expertise.

Buckwalter-Poza is an attorney, writer, and advocate. Prior to joining The Justice Collaborative, she was part of the founding team of Prism. Previously, she covered the Supreme Court, judicial nominations, and law as the Daily Kos Judicial Affairs Editor. She also sued Donald Trump for blocking her on Twitter -- and won.
Barua is an acclaimed serial entrepreneur, international keynote speaker, bestselling author and C-Suite advisor who is passionate about making the world more inclusive and innovative. Her inspiring story of turning barriers into breakthroughs has been featured in national media including CNBC, Bloomberg, Fortune and Forbes.
“We have ambitious plans to increase LGBTQ women’s political representation,” said Executive Director Stephanie Sandberg. “And with Nikki and Rebecca coming on board, we’ve gathered a dream team to make it happen.”
