Eunic Ortiz

Eunic Ortiz is a Democrat running for election to the Florida State Senate in the 24th District.

This is the first time Ortiz has run for elected office. She is an adjunct professor at the University of Florida and before beginning her campaign was a national political communications director at SEIU. She also serves on the Tampa Bay Workforce Development Committee and led the campaign team that successfully led the effort to pass a State Amendment to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour.

Ortiz’s campaign themes are focused on workers’ rights, affordable health care, fully-funded public education, robust environmental protections, and protecting Floridians’ right to vote.
